This blog will expand on themes and topics first mentioned in my book, "The Automobile and American Life." I hope to comment on recent developments in the automobile industry, reviews of my readings on the history of the automobile, drafts of my new work, contributions from friends, descriptions of the museums and car shows I attend and anything else relevant. Can anyone identify this car, photo taken in Breslau, Germany before 1920
Hi folks -- someone sent me an email yesterday asking for help in identifying the make and model of this automobile. This picture was taken in Breslau, Germany.
Could this perhaps be an old Argus? They were made in Reinickendorf, near Berlin. The logo seems to indicate it, but it's difficult to say for sure because there were so many customized forms, as with every pre-1920s carmaker.
