This blog will expand on themes and topics first mentioned in my book, "The Automobile and American Life." I hope to comment on recent developments in the automobile industry, reviews of my readings on the history of the automobile, drafts of my new work, contributions from friends, descriptions of the museums and car shows I attend and anything else relevant. A Car Museum in the Cotswalds
Todd Uhlman just sent me this photo from his travels. Anyone know anything about this museum and its exhibits?
Cute little museum. Visited it in 1996 (Lord, that was 20 years ago!) Glad to see it is still there! Here is what I said in my travel journal that day:
10/10/96 Toured Cotswolds. Visited neat car museum in Burton on Water. Amazing group of British sports cars: Brooklands, Rileys, Alvis Speed 20, BMW 328, MG J2 & TD, XK140, Mk5, etc. Really pretty villages, all with old stone buildings. Narrow roads and pretty houses.
