An economical and easy to work on car!
This blog will expand on themes and topics first mentioned in my book, "The Automobile and American Life." I hope to comment on recent developments in the automobile industry, reviews of my readings on the history of the automobile, drafts of my new work, contributions from friends, descriptions of the museums and car shows I attend and anything else relevant. Beavercreek, Greene County Ohio Cruise-In, Friday, June 30, 2017
With two competing events on Friday night, this was a "slim pickings" cruise-in. Only one car struck my fancy, a 1972 Pinto. Original owner, with modified exhaust and 2300 cc engine, customized to what end I do not know. But you rarely see a Pinto at any of these gatherings, and few survive. I had one between 1974 and 1984, and bought it was a very good car, with the exception of a noisy clutch throwout bearing and a bottom passenger door rust problem.
An economical and easy to work on car!
