These two photos are from Facebook and I just noted them. What is so striking in the images are all the horses used by German soldiers. Just like WWI! We teach in history classes about the tanks Stukas and other elements of mechanized warfare, but indeed these photographs suggest that there is much more to the story of the invasions of France and Russia!
