Hi folks -- odometer died on my 1982 Mercedes 380 SL. So I ordered the gear that is the major suspect from Pelican Parts, but discovered that it was gear E3 that was the problem. One tooth was off, and so I tried to clean it with Isopropyl alcohol and reassembled. No luck! When I did that, the gear turned to Jello and disintegrated. I counted the smaller gear teeth at 18, and ordered a set from EBAY that included the 48/18 E3 gear.
