Hi folks -- starting to get ready for my May 13-June 19 2015 teaching stint in Leipzig, Germany. Today I discovered the fascinating story of a Wartburg-based Melkus RS 1000. What a creative response to the constraints of living in East Germany! Below are a few photos and graphics of what was an absolutely beautiful car.
