From Ed -- The "Cadillac" however was the favored ride of the founder's of what later became known as "Rock-a-Billy" -- The Maddox Brothers & Sister Rose -- out of Bakersfield, California in the 1940s.  They were said to buy three new Cadillacs every couple of years to travel to their venues.  Here's their classic "Take Me in Your Cadillac and We'll Go Honkey-Tonkin."
