From Chris Martin -- This film featured an ex-Stirling Moss HWM that had the ALTA engine replaced by a Chevrolet transplant and was later restored by Tom Carstens. Known as ‘The Stovebolt Special’ it is now in the UK owned and campaigned by Simon Taylor.
Old Yeller was featured in a long forgotten B movie from 1959 called ‘Roadracers’; that would be a challenge for any research student, it seems not much is known about and it is not known if any copies survive.
Dr. John, readers will be glad to know that "RoadRacers" is available on demand at the IFC channel, on Spectrum and other cable feeds. Its a good print, although one can't revise the script, neither give the director any help nor get the actors any further training. The real stars are the CARS !
