The automobile ashtray is a pretty trivial topic. But if you are a smoker, it can be important to you. I was just thinking that in my 2018 Subaru, I do not have an ashtray. Subaru projects a number of values, including healthy living, and thus an ashtray would be incongruous with Subaru's emphasis on dogs, children, and family.
