Hi folks -- this issue of multi-tasking while driving and focusing on other things while driving is a major problem that no one really wants to address. So this morning I noticed a young woman in a Lexus driving down Far Hills (Ohio 48) and drifting towards the centerline while I was in the right lane. As it turned out, she had her hands off the wheel for quite some time while she was eating a cup of yogurt -- and thinking nothing of it! This was going on as we were both going about 40 m.p.h.

This blog will expand on themes and topics first mentioned in my book, "The Automobile and American Life." I hope to comment on recent developments in the automobile industry, reviews of my readings on the history of the automobile, drafts of my new work, contributions from friends, descriptions of the museums and car shows I attend and anything else relevant.
